Dr. Hanna was Graduated from Cairo University's Shool of Medicine. He was the Business Manager for the Ava Mina Pain Treatment Center at the Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland from 1996 to 2001. When Dr. Hanna moved to Pittsburgh in 2001, he worked for the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public health. Dr. Hanna got his Master Degree in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008.

        Dr. Hanna is a member of the American Association of Public Health and the Pennsylvania Public Health Association.

        Dr. Hanna was specialty fellowship trained in pain management at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh and Temple University School of Medicine. She is currently board ceratified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in Pain Management. She attended Minya University's School of Medicine in Egypt and then served a residency in internal medicine at Dar El-Salam General Hospital in Cairo, Egypt. She completed a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency first at St. Francis Medical Center and then at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh before completing her pain management fellowship.

        Dr. Hanna is a member of the American Board of Anesthesiology, the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Pennsylvania Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Pittsburgh Pain Society.
